I have visited Mount Rogers several times. Each time I have driven up to Grayson Highlands State Park, and hiked up Wilburn Ridge and the Appalachian Trail up to the spur trail that leads to the top. On this particular weekend, I camped with my some of my hiking group at nearby Grindstone campground . I drove up Friday afternoon and set up camp. It is a nice campground, but Friday night a chilly fog rolled in and it was cold and damp. It was still fun though.
